OneFone Home is a home phone with mobility. It is one of the new “nomadic” series of phones recently licensed and approved for use throughout Portugal. These phones are primarily designed to use around the home and your neighbourhood, but have the added advantage that you can take your OneFone Home wireless handset with you almost anywhere in Portugal, and by simply entering a short code, log on to the nearest cell. The network currently covers over 90% of the population of Portugal. If you are travelling around, and forget to logon to a nearby cell, don’t worry, your caller can always leave you a message in your voice mail. Remember, you can call them back free if they are calling you from a landline. Your new OneFone Home phone number will start with a 30 and the number will be transmitted to your caller, and appear on their screen, (unless you choose not to allow the number to be displayed). Friends and family calling you will be charged as if they are calling a fixed line, so if they have one of a growing number of VoIP users offering free calls to fixed lines in Portugal, they will be able to call you free of charge. OneFone Home has built in voice mail, and you can send free SMS messages to other OneFone Home users.
